My name is Dru, and I currently work as a Software Engineer for The Farmer's Dog, a subscription service that produces fresh, custom-made dog food where I

• Adhere to DRY principles
• Write and advocate for clean, testable code
• Iterate on a production codebase for reliability and best practices
• Regularly review code and participate in pair programming on a distributed team

While I specialize in crafting responsive UIs using React with Typescript, I also have experience building RESTful and GraphQL APIs (using both Node.js and Python), and working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.

Prior to becoming a software developer, I spent 10 years as a professional Broadway actor, where I learned the value of always striving for better. Though I don't spend as much time singing and dancing with peers, I retain a passion to create and collaborate with others.
